Population Change

Population varied dramatically from -1.5% in Donegal to plus 8% in Fingal. The fastest growing numbers were in the commuter belt and in the the cities of Limerick, Galway and Cork.

Housing and vacant dwellings



The number has fallen by 13.8 percent due to the demand for housing. The amount of holiday homes has increased marginally between 2011 and 2016.
